Hello, I'm Mnuemonix - Once upon a time I was a soccer player and ran sprints for track. Then I graduated high school and stopped exercising, but didn't stop eating. Last Week / Last Night Recap

Okay, so I’ve once again forgotten to post my most recent updates. Sorry about that – I really need to work on that. I haven’t quit or anything, I just haven’t gotten back to updating my blog. So here’s what I’ve been up to since last week:

Wednesday I hit the park again, and I only did 2 miles. I went faster, but not as far. I think I ended up knocking about 4 minutes off of my 2 mile time to around 20 minutes flat. For an out of shape guy such as myself I thought that was satisfactory.

And then I had to skip the Friday workout because my wife and I drove down to Gatlinburg Tennessee for the weekend. Even though I didn’t get any running done down there, we DID hike a half mile at what seemed like a 90 degree angle up hill to the top of one of the mountains. We did drive up most of it, snapping pictures along the way, but at the top parking area there was a path to go all the way to the top which we did. And it took some wind out of both of us. Absolutely gorgeous up there, though. And very peaceful as well. I found the beginning of the Appalachian Trail up there, and was very tempted to start hiking on it.

So then we came home Sunday evening, and last night I headed back to the park once again. I don’t really know how fast I went, but I got back up to my 3 that I needed. Today is an off day, and then tomorrow it’s back once again to see if I can’t get up OVER the 3 once again. If I can find one I’m going to try and bring a stop watch tomorrow to see how fast I’m going.
